Last week we had two fantastically fun events here at BookPeople that we just have to share with you.
The first was the Ranger’s Apprentice release party for the final book in the series, The Emperor of Nihon-Ja. We had all sorts of games for the kids including archery and classes in stealth (aka pick-pocketing.) Here are some of the best pictures from the event. The rest can be found on the BookPeople Flickr stream.
And then on Saturday, we hosted Liz Garton Scanlon as she celebrated the release of her newest picture book, Noodle & Lou. Best known for her Caldecott Honor book, All the World, Liz is a wonderful picture book author that incorporates great rhythm and rhyme in her work. Her newest book is no exception as a worm and bird have an unlikely but special friendship that is a pleasure to read out loud. Here she is at the party and signing books.
