Superfudge
By Judy Blume
Challenged at Casper, WY, school libraries in 1984 as profane, immoral, and offensive.
In this sequel to Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, Peter still is being harrassed, annoyed, and mortified by his younger brother, Fudge. Now to make it all worse, he has to start a new school and his mother is having a baby. Peter just might go insane if he ends up with two Fudges in his life.
Like many authors, Blume uses humor to create memorable characters and situations. Since humor is not the same for everyone, some people are offended by Blume’s books. Naturally they do not wish to see children exposed to humor they find disturbing.
